Heh
So today I broke the news to my mom that I was going to do my sociology project on LaVeyan Satanists, and that, in order to do so, Id need a couple books called The Satanic Bible and The Devil's Notebook (both by Anton LaVey). Fun times :3
The conversation went something like this:
HER: LaVeyan Satanists? Christ, honey, why cant you do a project on something NORMAL?
ME: cause nothing else is interesting in a realm where I talk about the people instead of the belief itself, which is sociology, people in a group.
HER: youre always doing such weird and obscure things on Satan and *gestures to my bookshelf, which has Mein Kampf XD* Hitler, why not do it on ancient Egyptions or the Mayans, or, I dunno, the lost city of Atlantis?
so then I explained a bit of LaVeyan Satanism and she was like,
HER: well, if theyre just good people, then why call themselves Satanists? How many are there, and when did this all come about?
ME: cause theyre the opposite of christians...and I have a friend whose a LaVeyan Satanist so theyre out there, but obviously not as big as christians or anything. and LaVeyan Satanism was founded by Anton LaVey in the '60s
and it kinda all went on like that, but the moral of the story is that both books will be arriving in my mailbox via amazon :3
See, thats the cool thing about my mom. She'll disapprove but will let me study what I want
